Arbitration as a privately autonomous alternative form of dispute resolution offers a number of important advantages over the ordinary courts. In addition to the confidentiality and flexibility of the proceedings, arbitration is also characterized by the possibility of dispute resolution by persons who have specialized knowledge and experience in the legal field in dispute.
The event, jointly initiated by Univ.-Prof. Dr. Martin Schauer (University of Vienna) and Hon.-Prof. Dr. Dietmar Czernich (CHG Rechtsanwälte, Vienna/Innsbruck), will be attended by leading insurance and arbitration law experts. It aims to shed light on the field of insurance arbitration and to present various aspects of arbitral dispute resolution in insurance law.
