1) Arb|Aut Annual Meeting
The agenda will be as follows:
- Report on and Approval of the audited Statements of Accounts (Entgegennahme und Genehmigung des Rechenschaftsberichtes und Rechungsabschlusses) as of 31 December 2017 in the Presence of the Auditors;
- Election of Auditors (Rechnungsprüfer);
- Discharge of the Arb|Aut Board (Entlastung des Vorstandes);
- Report on the Activities of Arb|Aut in 2018 and Activities planned for 2019;
- Budget for 2019 (Voranschlag);
- Election of Arb|Aut Board (Wahl der Mitglieder des Präsidiums);
- Determination of Admission Fee and Membership Fee.
In addition, we hope to see you at the YAAP Anniversary Conference which will be held after our meeting:
2) YAAP Anniversary Conference
We are very pleased to announce that
Dr. Reinmar Wolff, University of Marburg, will initiate the discussion on
"Time to rejuvenate the New York Convention?"
Dr. Reinmar Wolff
will explore the needs of modernizing the New York Convention based on the challenges and complexities in today’s application of the convention.
Ass. Prof. Dr. Milena Djordjevic (University of Belgrade) and Benjamin Siino (Shearman & Sterling) will share their views on whether the current NYC text still serves the object and purpose of the Convention to the extent possible,
moderated by
Professor Dr. Christian Koller (University of Vienna) and to be followed by a hopefully lively debate with the audience.
Thanks to VIAC as host of the venue and the cocktail reception offered by YAAP, the event is free of charge.
