In his scholarly work and law practice he focuses on business law, civil law, and both international and national arbitration. He worked as a supervisor of the International Business module at the Faculty of Law and the Faculty of Economics and Administration, Masaryk University.
JUDr. Jan Havlicek has worked as an advocate since 2009, and in 2013, he set up JAN HAVLICEK LAW FIRM. The law firm is based in Jihlava but it provides legal services in Prague and Brno, too.
The law firm is focused on corporate clients, public administration and, last but not least, on a number of individual clients. As a rule, we always take a personal approach to our clients.
In the exercise of advocacy, we also cooperate with many other lawyers, official receivers, tax consultants, executors, or translators and other specialists and experts.
An overview of activities in the field of arbitration and academia: Faculty of Law, Masaryk University in Brno, an assistant (subjects: Private International Law, International Trade Law), an arbitrator ad hoc in many domestic and international arbitrations (appointed by the parties, or, e.g. by the Chairman of Chamber of Commerce in Vysocina, the Czech Republic), a Member of the International Chamber of Commerce Young Arbitration Forum, a Member of the International Centre for Dispute Resolution Young & International (ICDR), the international division of the American Arbitration Association (AAA), LCIA, a Member of the London Court of the Young International Arbitration Group (YIAG), a Member of the London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA) Users’ Council.
